The Forlorn

You desert me too
Who in this unkind world of
 Self-seekers cares to
Hold the shaking hands of
A tormented, forlorn soul

I don't think I've ever read a Tanka before. Very nicely done.

Thanks for appreciating my Tanka, Rachel. Tanka is a Japanese form of syllable based short poem of 5 lines. I have written several tanka's before. Search through my poems if you want to read Tanka or Haiku. Love. -Mohammad
