The Flower Tapestry
When winter became a Spring day
The first flower born.....
the Princess of Flowers had much to say.......
The winter had left the castle all forlorn
How sweet to have flowers in the Hall........
On a tapestry on the wall
No flower to big or too small
A walk around the castle ground
Revealed much to be found
The South Wind Prince,
sent a wind warm and light
Upon it, the flowers bright
The Princess collected..........
The flowers.........
So carefully selected
To plant on the tapestry garden
To hang on the wall...........
In the Great Hall
When an Autumn day becomes winter cold
The tapestry will comfort all
The colour.....
The scent it will hold............
in the Great Hall
The flowers, gathered so.........
The ribbons and silks
A blaze of colour...........
Scattered on a tapestry maedow
The Flower Princess,
and all her helpers
Waited for the sunniest day,
for they had a tapestry to display
Before long.....
She gathered her throng........
The tapestry ready for showing
The scent wafting through
Honey suckles
Roses
Lilies too
Flowers of deepest through
red,yellows and pinks
The colours living.........
On a tapestry
They carried the tapestry to the Hall
All gasped in wonder at it all
For when the wind blew...........
The flowers grew........
On a tapestry beautiful too
A garden for all........
To be hung in the Great Hall
no one suspected
How those colours reflected
Such flowers to enthrall
