The Florist and the Poet

A florist working in her shop, snips and clips and cuts away, making a fragrant floral bouquet. A poet writing at her desk, picks and prunes her words with care, making paper bouquets with others to share.

Thank you for reading my poems, James. I entered this in a contest over a month ago, but heard nothing, so I guess I didn't even get a mention. I'm glad there are some people like you who enjoyed the connection I made between the florist and the poet.

Are you talking to me, Kiki or Barbara? Because I didn't win anything that I'm aware of. I did enter this poem in a contest but I don't think the contest is even over until the end of this month. But I could be wrong. :)
