The Flood

The Flood by Rick Rucker It's rained so many days, that I've lost count, I really should know the amount! The figure might be thirty nine, Some Sunshine would sure be Divine! Down the street, a guy is building a boat with many stairs, And the animals, all in pairs! And he said that he's forlorn, He couldn't find no unicorn! I went down, and talked to him, He asked me, how long can I swim! I'll check the weather 'cast, Sure hope this rain won't last!

I enjoyed the rhyming and the rhythm of the poem, a song that can be sung aloud, Rick
