The Flash Before I Forget You
The tunnel is longer
than my or.g.as.m.
I hold my breath
for the flashing
of your face—
like exit light
slapping my eyes
when the black yawns open
and I am born
back into noise.
You never stayed
long enough
to settle in the shadows.
Just a glare.
A ghost caught
on glass.
