The Flame In Me

I have been stuck
In the hole that has been dug for me
My fire was snuffed
In the efforts to diminish me

I conceded
The despair overbore
The darkness shadowed over
Agony prolonged
Who am I

Are the lost gone forever
Or can it be found

When you look -
Pure intentions in mind
Then it’s reflection
Peaks through

Is this little ray of light
Enough to reignite
That spark that I’ve been missing
In my stormy night

For this search will strike
For them
For you
For me
I hope this flame can burn again

So I can be me
