The Fisherman Meets the Fish

I reeled him firmly from the deck line loose then jerking back hitting the plank he flopped and flipped if only for a little bit was then i noticed three lines left hanging from his gasping mouth (previous attempts at meals) he looked at me intently- frozen with fear i stood staring for a while carefully removing the lines like a surgeon seized with passion looking into his eye lifting him with gentle hands (though slimy he was.) placed him back into the lake so he could see another day.
