The Fisherman

I am but one element amongst the elements Among the stones, I am a stone And when upon the hush of night There is a shimmering star above the moon light Shore to shore beneath the deepest of seas The sand in the soul wavers endlessly And all the realms of nature do spread The seasons of life, the elements of all man I see the flickering, the fisherman's light Amongst the elements, soon a good night Upon his door fragments fragile will fall How much longer Lord until you call

I used to own an offshore fishing boats and spent many weekends at sea, so I was drawn to your title. When you are 25 miles offshore, you can see Venus, Mars and even the Milky Way. Indeed, it makes you feel part of the universal consciousness and closer to God. Love, Carolyn
