The First Kiss

I remember a time when you came home
I’d had a drink but you didn’t mind.
You came behind and then said Hi
Massaged my shoulders in your style

We talked and we laughed
And we told some tales

And then we kissed!

I remember it so well!

It was a night that the stars where out
A clear bright sky without a cloud
With your lips on mine, we passed the time
It went so fast, hugs my mind

Now its ten days further on
And I feel the caution linger long
We have our thoughts and worries too
Would be so nice to just be true

Another kiss would be so sweet
A hug, a word, a tender beat
I don’t know why it ended there
Perhaps we both run far too scared

I feel you times, your holding back
And I feel like shouting “Don’t do that”
And then I find I do the same
Like we’re both of the same mind

I don’t know where we are going to
I don’t know how the day will be
I don’t know if there will ever be
Just a kiss, to set me free.
