The First Day
Ahh ... day 1 is upon us, and it's fairly
Chilly on this new year.
As I try to collect some warm words,
While avoiding to shed a tear.
Now if tradition is to be my guide,
Following resolutions here to make.
Then my efforts to correct some failings,
Will bear fruit if I partake.
So with some sober and conscious analysis,
This listing grows by volume and length.
Where I quickly come to realize,
That overcoming flaws takes great strength.
Here my thoughts of will power,
Begin eroding and chipping away.
At all the corrective measures ...
After all, I can procrastinate another day.
