The Fires Yet Burn

     Our Holy Temples still burn
        for we Jews have not learned
     the lessons of the past
        We just repeat them

     We speak ill of our brothers
        show anger to others
      And for not spreading love all around
        flames of the past yet rise from the ground

       Tisha b'Av, the saddest day of the Jewish
       calendar, is tonight and tomorrow, com-
       memorating the day both the first and 
       the second Temple in Jerusalem were
       destroyed. It within our power to douse
       the flames, by changing our ill-advised
       ways...
