The Firefly

Dancing in the moonlight, Twinkling through the trees, Sparkling in the meadow grass, Like diamonds on the leaves. Flitting 'bout the garden, 'Midst the Jasmine and the rose, No one knows from whence they come, But everybody knows, That Summer brings the fireflies, With gaily twinkling lights, To decorate the evening, Like jewels in the night.
