The Fireflies
That night we went to the Selangor River
We saw a lot of fireflies on the bushes
Amidst the far stretched deep darkness
Like the many bulbs on the Christmas trees
While one or two rested on the water
Drifting along happily with the river
One flew into our boat
Making us stayed starkly silent
As silent as the darkness around
Suddenly, above our heads
Into the sky
We saw a lot of stars shining
Oh, the fireflies
Have flown silently into the sky
Decorating for us that beautiful night
