The turning page of twenty-six Is more than just a calendar fix. It is the spark, the morning light, To make the future warm and bright. No looking back with heavy eyes, I'm ready now to seek the prize. I'll take the lessons that I know, And use them as the seeds to grow. To be a little kinder now, To wipe the worry from my brow. I'm building up a better me, The version I was meant to be. So let the new year softly start, With hope and courage in my heart. It's never late to change the lane, To shed the old and break the chain. This is the time, the stage is set, To be my finest version yet.
