The Final Journey

Lay back my love and rest your weary head
dream perfect dreams in your cozy bed
gently as you row through still waters deep
to the land beyond- your eternal sleep.

Forget now all this life of woes
relax unfurl your troubled brows
let all pain and sorrow now diminish
now is the time for your earthly life to finish.

Feel no fear at your demise
look to the heavens and close your eyes
stand before the pearly gates
where eternity for you awaits.
