The Final Day

The final day is coming
The mind beginning to decay
This feeling cannot remain
Will the end come today

The sun slowly falls in the sky
And the darkness begins
The door between worlds
Opens for those to pass by

Breath is now slowing
The heart faintly beating
Now the body is going
The physical end comes today

As dirt covers the casket
The open grave fills in
No one can hear the spirit cry
As the world says good bye

The ground is now a prison
With no physical escape
Will the soul ever leave
Or is it stuck in this grave

Dark and creepy write! We tend to assume that every soul went to heaven. I guess we don't really know, now do we? All we can do is pray that they were a child of God. Great poem!

Thank you Anna, it's good thing to have faith but not many really do?

Good question - where is the soul? Very thought provoking Matt.

We need to think about both side of our being body and soul.
