The Fight
I use to think I was really smart,
til' I found out that I had an empty heart.
You see, it was becauseof my worldly lust,
I had friends I couldn't even trust.
Then satan came into my life,
cut me down without even using a knife.
I tried fightong aginst his foes,
only to escape by the skin of my nose.
Then I tried Jesus and overcame them,
satan told his demons I'm not thru with him.
He used women to entice me,
pretty soon I was down on one knee.
The drugs and living in the past,
down on both knees finally at last.
Thank God I knew how to pray,
I received Jesus on that blessed day.
Satan had challenged me to a fight,
the trickster sucker punched me with a right.
I didn't even knwo they rung the bell,
he laughed and said you're going to hell.
I shot him a left that would've cut up cheese,
he popped me and dropped me to my knees.
As I was down I cried to my Saviour,
He said "peace be still" you've found favor.
Satan jabbed at Jesus with a mighty left,
Jesus did one of His lighten side step.
When satan turned what a surprise,
Jesus popped him square between the eyes.
He has turned my plight around,
an ole' satan was giong down.
Satan jumped up like a man on crack,
but that last right put him flat on his back.
