The Festival of Lights

Autumn comes up brining with it football and leaves of gorgeous hue As the season fades it is time for the festival of lights Burning candles symbolize a struggle begun a millennium or two age A victorious struggle led by a legendary band of brothers Now we celebrate their triumph with tasty food and whirling tops Eyes glow with memory and hope We give gifts and are pleased to receive gifts The greatest gift is ours It is renewed life and camaraderie amongst the members of the still surviving tribe

Nicely written poem. Yes I did get to see Sir Paul this summer and it was a wonderful experience. Brought back many memories of following their career . I had to do a poem on Beatle mania as I was a big fan. love phyl
