The Female of the Species

Her eyes are those of a viper
Deep, cold and poisonous
Licking her lips through her crimson lips
She can already taste their blood
Her web fills the room
Jack Daniels and sex are her bait
She waits and watches
As the unsuspecting walk by
They don’t notice her
But she knows their every move
Finally one male smiles at her
She smiles back not revealing her fangs
They are trapped by her beauty
She waits, luring him in
Until she steals his heart and soul
Until he is a mere shell
Again she sits and waits
Looking for a male to devour
She knows in her black heart
There will always be another
And they too will be devoured
She can already taste their blood
