The Feathers of Pegasus
The angelic beast of Pegasus
flew over the land of PoetrySoup
where he hit some turbulence
and lost some feathers
The poets would take up with feathers
and make writing quills with them
and from that day
poetry changed forever
Poems would be richer in metaphors
and abundant in alliterations
imagery would be ripe
And rhyming would be rich
The magical quills of Pegasus feathers
performed wonderfully
giving the authors Poems of the Day
and digital trophies in contests
But an army of poets in PoetrySoup
came about who did not fetch the magical feathers
they would write from their hearts and souls
and would compete endlessly against the magic
These poem warriors
created an endless amount of charm
and they would show that cheating
is not the blessed way
So you must decide dear friend
That if ever you come across a Pegasus feather
will you use it
to quill your prose
