Many people fear unnecessarily due to some imaginary notion of others they have. Doubt puts us in such terrible fear. Being a victim of this kind of fear, I am inspired to write this poem.
One man tall and lanky
Was walking side by side
Of another short and stocky
None other was in sight
Their stare became lengthy
The lanky saw his pocket buldge
Of fear he stayed stacky
A pistol was what he judged
The stocky noticed the folded hanky
That could endanger his life
As he took it for something fishy
Like it resembled a hidden knife
The lanky reached a protective hand
On the well wrapped red hanky
His wages he had in a rubber band
He wanted to save from the stocky
The stocky feared theft of his burger
In terrible fear his gaze ran at the lanky
Like an ominous bell they stepped farther
Focussed in false notion of robbery
They wished for the cloak of the night
They could escape with their treasure
For the lanky, money was tight
And the stocky had it for his dinner
Their steps were growing strained
And their breathing became raspier
Not one word to each other was said
Till the end when their fear drained
