The Fatal Carrot of Your Parrot

Think once, twice, thrice
Don’t into your throat imbibe that substance
Worth neither the trouble nor the price
Your precious life to terminate in the vile violent silence

Dangling before your eyes a carrot
Seemingly appealing to your numbed sense
Of judgement by the lure the pesky parrot
Parades into your mind in defence

Of a false move
To a point of no return
In a crazy step to groove
Into a macabre urn

From which alive you may not emerge
Once the mad rush of sad blood to your head
Manages tricks to urge
You to drink that fatal drug in your bed

As a way to push away an issue
Pestering your mind
To pursue
A perdition path in a vain hope to find

An elusive solution
Sought after but not yet attained
As a crazy emotion in dissolution
Claims a relationship strained

Comes back together
To delight an illusion
Although a bother
Swims and sinks into a worse delusion

But step back
To terra firma
Welcome the reality pack
That dangles a world of love warmer

To prolong your life
Give you hope
Delete for good strife
And slide you on a bliss slope

That’s my take
Dear
A further mistake
Won’t make your way any clearer

Step back from the brink of the disaster
You court
And a salient solution emerges faster
Without any vision to distort.
