Notes About The Poem

The Fan

The Fan

 A living tribute Judy Konos

You came and somehow found me
alone and broken and confused.
You saw through my mixed emotions
to a heart that's been abused.

So long I felt unworthy
times I prayed it just would end.
You stayed when others ran away
you became my truest friend.

You helped me hold it all together
all these pieces of my heart.
Then came the day you held me
as I tried to fall apart.

I begged you just to let me be
and leave me in my pain.
Like something in the wilderness
just drowning in the rain.

I saw the look that's in your eyes
through tears you told me no.
The only one I couldn't fight
I couldn't make you go.

And now I'm standing on my own
as I look and still see you.
Remembering those darker days
and all you got me through.

I no longer wonder why or where
or how this all came to be.
I can only hope and pray
you know what you mean to me.

Do not be deceived by this poem or it's meaning.
Judy. I am YOUR biggest fan.

Yes You are my biggest fan! I don't know anyone else who could fit in that blue shirt? And how did you ever get your backside in that inner tube? It must have been a tandem axle truck tube....
