The Fall Classic

It is the finest time of all
That grand old game we call baseball
Sets our hearts aflutter
When the boys of summer
Battle to be champions of fall

My favorite sporting event. Always was, and hope that it will continue on. Seems that the Yankees should be in it more often though... As I was growing up, they were in it 15 out of 17 years -- the Stengel, Mantle, Berra, Ford era. I actually didn't realize that Mel Allen was the voice of the Yankees. I thought that he was a special announcer for the World Series only. Happy weekend, Kenneth!
