The Fairy Ring

Lights shine in the wood, the flicker in the wood, the wood with the fairy ring. ''No tresspassing'' Bold black words printed on a plastic sign nailed to a tree, a tree in a the wood, the wood with the fairy ring. The nails on the sign sit rimmed with rust, the words begin to fade but no one dares to wander in the woods, for they've been warned by the woods, the woods with the fairy ring. The sign lies blank, one nail is gone but the message still remains for on moonlite nights the sign drips with blood its message crimson and clear ''Stay clear of our wood so the lights may shine in our wood let them flicker in our woods, in our wood with our fairy ring.''
