The Face

The face of this old man painted
as the pastel portrait mute,
turned grey the hard way,
looks at the memory space vacant.
The pensive eyes, one shrouded by
the shadow of sorrow,
the other brimmed by
the film of frozen tears unshed
for the dear ones gone,
engraved in the webbed face
as the scars of the lost time.

"brimmed by the film of frozen tears unshed for the dear ones gone" Wonderful penned, Subimal. Thank you for taking the time to respond to my painting. You have captured an essence of it. ~Terrilynn, TravelingArtista
