The Facade and Me
I kept a cheerful smile,
But, all the while,
The tears inside,
Made living an arduous trial.
It’s only happiness I seek
Week-after-week,
Can I please have a glimpse?
Or just a small peek?
Others appear so tranquil,
But, it’s not in their soul,
Do I really want what they have?
Or will the façade and me,
Just grow old?
