The Facade

I bear it all in silence,
Afraid to let it out.
Afraid the tears won't stop.
I hold it all together,
And let everyone think that I'm okay,
I don't let them see the cracks.
Afraid to let them know,
How much it hurts.
So I clutch the broken pieces.
Begging them,
to stay glued a little longer.
Afraid that if I let them go,
I'll never get them back.
