Notes About The Poem

Living for the Lord is a continuing committment.
The enemy of our soul, the devil, is always lurking
and trying to ensnare the Lord's people so, we
must do our best on this end to be in constant
fellowship with Him.
God bless.

The Eyes of a Man

The Eyes of a Man

The eyes of a man the Bible says
are the windows of his soul
so to keep them clean and clear for the Master’s use
should be our highest goal.

We should watch what we set before them
for immoral things can bring a mighty snare
the devil always lurking to entrap you
don’t you let him no, don’t you dare.

King David was a prime example
how his eyes brought him so much woe
how he took to him another man’s wife
and made the Father God one of his foes.

Father God help me to keep clean
this holy temple for Your work I want to get done,
and strengthen me to live a life so holy, my Lord
that it will glorify Your precious Son!

Thank you for your encouraging poem. The eyes of a man are the window to his soul --- keep it clean for the Master's use. Beautifully said.
