The Eyes of a Child

Beware these nightmare dreams that come
Protect them from these monster horrors
That can be seen through the eyes of the children
The children that cannot trust, cannot rely on us

Destroy these invisible demons that haunt
Ravage these hordes of spirits that seek
To take the young to the brink of graves
These children can see what we cannot

Help them, though you do not know
What plagues and stalks and hurts them
We don’t remember what it is like to see
These things only perceived through the eyes of a child
