The Eyes Have It

Within your eyes that time I spend
does warm my very soul,
they touch me in these places
no others ever go.

Could linger there perhaps forever
excuse me if I stare,
do find myself adrift in wishing
to always want you near.

To some who see perhaps not special
for them I do not care,
my heart you've captured, is yours forever
your eyes shall keep me there.

Daniel thank you for your kind comments! I recently lost the love of my life to cancer. My Wife, Avis, of nearly 33 years. Most of these writings are current thoughts and feelings, some older poems from years ago. I will check out your poems, thanks again
