The Exotic Dancer
Her moves, panoramic,
deliberate,
with purpose known
to her,
only her;
delivered with the precision
of ancient artisans.
A choreograph of yearning
to solve histories secrets
of beauty in motion,
motion condensed like time,
methodical,
mesmerizing,
then,
without warning,
suddenly stops.
All who witness enchanted,
frozen as dead,
suddenly acclaim the magnificence
of the performance;
her movements deliberate,
with purpose known to her,
only her.
She receives her audience
and accepts their appreciation
with an extended garter.
