The Evils of a One Sided Love

My Queen,
You conquered my heart,
And for a short time we had the best time of our lives,
Like two children in a field with no rules,
We ran,
We played,
We loved,

But now your love for me has ended.

Love,
Decomposing,
Like a mighty tree that once stood tall
Has fallen,
And its energy is returned to the earth for someone else to use,

But my love for you still remains,
Like a plague,
Thoughts of you haunt my mind:

Who will you touch?
Who will you call honey?
Who will you kiss goodnight?

Jealously, envy, and hatred
Taint my broken heart
And rule over the land that was once yours,

A land once filled with sunlight,
Passion fruit,
And lilies,
is dead,
and gone,
Waiting for a new queen to vanquish its evils.

These are the evils of a one sided love.
