The Ever Deeper Blue of Eternity
Looking up,
the leaves that joined us in spring,
now fall down to the ground,
slowly,
turning and dancing in the breeze,
And through the almost bare branches
I stare,
I stare into the deep blue sky above,
deeper and deeper,
into the deep blue of eternity,
the space that’s always there,
sometimes hidden but always
there,
Always there as the summer leaves fall,
spinning turning,
falling back to the
start,
back to where there is no
beginning,
back to the ever-deeper blue
of
Eternity.
