The Eternal War

The vile speaks "You think you can defeat me? I shall never be destroyed If you send warriors I shall rend them limb from limb If you send wizards I shall reflect their magics unto them And watch as they writhe in the torment you meant for me Neither your priests nor their prayers can prevail Your god has no power over me I am every lie I am every vengeful thought I am the temptation you cannot resist You are doomed by your own humanity And will forever be my slaves" Humanity’s response "We are free already Saved by the very humanity you condemn Our god provides more than you could ever offer Seeking only justice we need no lies to reveal your evil You may strike down the faithful But to no avail, for they are already saved Each wizard shall be reborn eternally throughout this age of war Each warrior you destroy shall return amongst the angelic host To oppose you more strongly from the next life than ever they could in this Each act of destruction only serves to make us stronger You will never win"
