The Epiphany That Changed My Life Forever
Realizing this has changed my life,
Knowing this has helped me stay afloat,
In life, no one can give you their shoulders forever,
We’re in a world where you
need to learn to stand alone,
Life is a mystery you need to unravel yourself,
They'll accompany you but not through the door,
They may stand with you
but you have to hold the sword,
Billie Holiday said, “I’m always making a comeback but no one asks me where I have been.”
They want to stand with you in the spotlight,
They are not concerned with what goes on
behind closed doors,
Indeed, only the strongest will survive,
In a world of stiff competition,
I'll walk through the midnight,
I'll push through till dawn.
