The End of the Nightmare

Nightmares sneaking up behind you
Rage always threatening to blind you
Getting help is always such a hard thing to do
When in your head all the blame lies within you
Looking in the mirror and seeing such ugliness
Finding out your life has turned into such a mess
Searching for the rays of light, a beam
Just some hope to keep you going
Stumbling through fields full of thorns
Thoughts and skin all tattered and torn
Then stumbling into the arms of a man
Who doesn't hurt even though he can
He gives you love and hope, he holds you up
A light starts to shine, a rainbow forms above
He guides you through the thorns to safety
He holds you close and let's you know you're free
Salvation is his name
Redemption is what he brings
