The End of It

Yeah, it's true.
I hated you.
You hated me, too, though.
So,
As you can clearly see,
The playing field's even between you and me.
You hurt me.
That's clear to see.
I, in turn, hurt you,
Not that it was right for me to do,
But I did.
Apology accepted?
Yours is.
Can't that be the end of it?
