The End of Days

The ways of the end of our days
           seem frightful yet serene-
Fear of the unknown may come and
go but the Lord keeps us clean.
For in these moments of life and
death I’ve seen the heartbreak of man,
and in the depths of many deep breaths
                I think I finally understand.

Selfish greed and endless needs for
      gold of plenty prevails,
He planted the seed and many do heed
yet some leave behind broken trails.

We fail yet rise
       we compromise,
and sometimes we climb up again-
But loneliness is a struggle demise
and soon will come the end.
Forgiveness seems too rough
and love just too tough but we should
all be grateful for the Son-
They call their bluff when they’ve had
enough...
...yet Jesus is the only One.

He was born to save
    and salvation He gave,
for us all to bathe in adoration,
He needs us now to gather
in prayer, for we are His
beautiful creation.

The end is near so have no fear
and remember to do what is right-
He loves us dear, so wipe that tear
and sleep tight during this dark night.
For the light shall shine and
we’ll all be fine and greater than
          the rest-
Be compassionate and graceful...
...for life is our greatest test.
