The End Is Near My Dear

'Twas sadly the end is near
Slowly you wipe away my tear
You whispered calmly to me," It'll be alright dear"
I lay down as I start to die
We kiss each other goodbye
Holding onto you tight
Everything is going to be alright
I then take your paw in my hand
I must bury you outside in the sand
I lick your snout
You're dead now, no doubt
I carve a cross on your grave
I'm going to miss you helping me shave
Everyday I think of your face
You had such elegance, such grace
How I miss petting you gently
I know I killed you, but it was accidently
You ran out behind my car so fast
If only I could change the past
I couldn't see because of all the fog
Its so terrible that I killed my dog
