The End
You live a life and die when you do
Family and friends have a prayer for you
They cry and grieve and soon they accept
That it’s easier to go with life and forget
Then soon they themselves will depart and pass on
Until even the memory of you is gone
You become a nameless face in a book
Meaningless to anyone who even cares to look
It hurts to think this is the end
Of life for you your family your friend
This why people cling to their prayer
Although there might be no one up there
It’s better than nothing is what I can see
But heaven or hell it’s the same to me
Hope if I wake up after I’m dead
I can slap god on the back of his head
