The End
So I sit here, all alone.
Hoping your name shows upon my phone.
I wait and wallow in misery.
Waiting for the day you'll finally see.
What it is you mean to me.
The sun goes dark.
The air grows stale.
We'll soon embark.
An age old tale.
With no you I'll always fail.
The sweet embrace.
A lovers taste.
Death comes slow.
Or so I'm told.
The sun is low.
My skin is cold.
I accept this lonely fate.
Since it's me you'll never date.
All alone.
Skin torn to the bone.
I wonder why.
Could I not be the sun for your sky.
I wanted to brighten your world.
But my destiny came unfurled.
Greeting death like a friend.
My life had no meaning in the end.
