The Empty Girl
She once had the universe in her eyes.
She looked in the mirror and saw beauty.
Then the world decided to tell her lies.
The person she once was, she couldn’t see.
She measured every inch of her figure.
Let the scale calculate if she’s pretty.
The numbers were most important to her.
But she stayed quiet to avoid pity.
She’s hungry, so she has to eat something.
But she throws it back up in an instant.
She sees her body becoming nothing.
And turns to the ones who were once distant.
They helped her see her true beauty once more.
Now she loves herself as she did before.
