The Emancipation of Me

The emancipation of me My setting free Letting go Losing control Don't want to feel bound Don't want to set grounds My darkest hour yet The fearful reality Into loneliness Into frailty Into my soul My coldest season yet The snow that falls into my heart Rain crashing down on the window pane of my soul It's so cold The emancipation of me My setting free Letting go Losing control Don't want to feel bound Don't want to set grounds My happiest day yet Filled with sunshine and smiles The grey skies turn into blue Butterflies fill up the sky My stomach does flip flops Into warmness My most memorable moments Lost in time Almost forgotten The picture fades As blue skies turn back into grey The emancipation of me My setting free Letting go Losing control Don't want to feel bound Don't want to set grounds My biggest regret Never losing control Always wondering if I could or would Never letting go Letting it show Always feeling bound Always setting grounds Never excepting always regretting Never saying just what I feel Never keeping it real My emancipation My setting free Letting go Losing control My never feeling bound My never setting grounds The emancipation of me
