Notes About The Poem

Beyond the country road that runs behind our home, are open fields.  As dawn began to break this morning, I looked out the living room window and saw the shadows of several rabbits in the field--the inspiration for this poem.

THE EDGE OF DAWN

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fingers of pale light creep across the sleeping field~ rabbits, half-shadows, hesitate between two worlds, then vanish like a wish
Charming ~ particularly like your choice of 'creep' and the whimsy and charm of your finale with its internal rhyme. Delightful ~
