The Echo

The Echo

     As we cried, “Hello, hello!”

A sound from vast spaces came,

     An echo replied, “Hello … Lo… lo…”

     As we cried, “Hello, hello!”

Then we cried again and so

The echo replied just the same.

     As we cried, “Hello, hello!”

A sound from vast spaces came.

Life echos back the messages we send. If people really believed that their words would change.. we'd be positive and upbeat. Our words would be full of promise and hope! If only, people believed in the echo....

Interesting comment, LM. Perhaps it is about egotism; repeatedly hearing our own words returned. Thanks for the comment. // Barry

Thank you very much, Heidi. I wrote it at midnight last night after listening to a radio program about echos. // Barry.
