The Earthen King

When the world began
The Earthen King
Stood by
For the Fire King
To bring to the surface
All the rock
For, it had the making
Of continents

An artist created
All these living things
The beautiful trees
Beneath a golden sun
For, when the earth cooled
The Kings of Water and Air
Let it live and breathe

The colours too
Of flowers
Of orchids
Of trees
Of skies of blue

Such beauty
To make you weep
In joy
For, so many things made
In imagination
Completely

To fill a world
With trees
With magic
With love
That only a king
Can know
That it meant....
everything
