The Dying Garden

Written: May 25, 2026, for a contest sponsored by Line Gauthier 1st place contest winner ***************** The moonlight sighs a silver tear, shine was gone where shadows dare. A garden of grief, where roses decay, their petals of pledge swept away. Love’s once fierce flame is a raging scar, teaching the soul how prone we are.

Congratulations dear poet on your top win in this contest with a lovely poem with beautiful metaphors, carved with a very shilful pen. Another gem with a tinge of grief.... Sending you blessings of light.

how beautifully you've captured the vulnerability that's exposed during grief. Hats off to you, dear Sotto. hugs from Texas, Sara
