The Dying Days
Hush now put away your bleeding brain
Didn’t they tell you ?
There’s no room on this empty train.
All battered and bruised
Awake now,
You’re even more confused
It’s the little things we kill
Hope happiness love and grace
They all lie within the devils loving embrace
Shoot to kill
There’s that emptiness still
It’s the hunger you never can fill
It’s the somber dawn of your reality
Of the worlds finality
One of each
Of these truths
Taken root
Never lost on the youth
The whales that breech
After they dive
To the coldest depths
Will they all disappear ?
Before we’ve left out of here ?
Ghosts of ourselves
Sit and waste away
Nothing else to lose
No more games to play
Just another chess move away
From the dying day.
