The Dying Breed
With a tip of the hat or holding the door
the chivalrous man is revealed.
You may catch him listening, being kind
to others, showing his appeal.
He is often misunderstood, now a days,
as many mistake him for weak.
But, the gentleman man, that extends hands
is the one the ladies seek.
Yet, just far too seldom is he ever found
as a chivalrous man’s in need.
Ladies and gentleman, with all due respect,
I introduce the dying breed.
So, ladies in waiting, seek him out now,
there are some, just take the time.
You seek out that knight, the gentleman such,
I hope there’s some left to find.
